Pitted: A Story of Friendship
Pitted is a gang of Canadian gremmies who formed in 2020 following a most impactful viewing of the infamous Huntington Beach surfer interview. The debut release Pitted So Pitted (2021) from friends Aidan Galletti-Viscount (bass), Justin Gendreau (drums), Naomi Kavka (guitar) and Patrick Kilcullen (keys) showcases the band’s skill of blending a variety of surf rock sounds from traditional to modern, jazz noir to spaghetti western, all on one cohesive album. The highlights and achievements of Pitted have yet to be measured since the band was born out of the current pandemic, but Bodhi from the taco stand heard us rehearsing and said “it was pretty gnarly”.
